About Flex-Stak Kit

Flex-StakKit

ProductCode: 10620000

Build your own PEM hydrogen fuel cell from the endplatesup!  The Flex-Stak fuel cell kit gives you all the materials you need to makeyour very own fuel cell from scratch.  It allows the user to increasetheir basic fundamental understanding of the fuel cell and all of the components required.

The Flex-Stak Kit comes in a 1-cell, 5-cell, 10-cell,15-cell, or 20-cell stack configuration depending on your hydrogen powerrequirements.  This open-air cathode stack can be fitted with varioussizes of graphite plates, membrane electrode assemblies (MEA) and lowtemperature PEM membranes to run on Hydrogen and Air or Hydrogen and Oxygen. The ease of use makes it simple to scale the Flex-Stak to different powerlevels and integrate equipment such as sensors.  The Flex-Stak fuel cellis an excellent learning tool that gives hands-on experience with promisingfuel cell technology.  Whether its advanced research on MEAs, creatingyour own fuel cell lab or conducting professional training the Flex-Stak has aload of practical applications.

The Flex-Stak Assembled is a fully assembled, tested, andready for use PEM Fuel Cell!  Only a flathead screwdriver and torquewrench (<50 in-lb, 1/4 inch nut) are necessary to assemble the Flex-Stak soyou can concentrate on creating your very own hydrogen powered applications.

* The provided power output numbers arebased on the forced air operation using the fan.
** The Flex-Stak nominal operating voltage per cell is typically around 0.45 to0.6 V, but could vary between 0.4 and 0.9V per cell depending on how hard youare running the cell (i.e. pulling more current will result in a lower cellvoltage, less current will have a higher cell voltage).  Humidity of theH2 gas and stack temperature will also play a major role in the power output(or voltage or current) values.

Superior Material and Design

Made from premium high-grade polymer, primarily polypropylene, the Flex-Stak Kit ensures longevity, strength, and a medium hardness perfect for repetitive laboratory use. The smooth/matte surface is easy to handle and clean, supporting even sensitive lab environments.
